From the 1st of August 2008 it became a compulsory legal requirement that all clients enter into a Legal Services Agreement with their Law firm prior to any work being commenced. This is required if you should wish to pursue working with us after your initial one-off-consultation has been carried out (if applicable).
The advantage of a Legal Services Agreement is that it means both parties are clear right from the very beginning about how much it will cost to have certain legal work undertaken.
In order to speed up the process of working with us we have included an example of a Legal Services Agreement (including our Terms of Engagement) in our website – for you to review prior to us getting together for our initial meeting. We would appreciate you reviewing this example document and then registering as a "new client" and completing as much as possible of the information required. Upon arrival at Keil & Associates for our initial meeting a team member will download your semi completed client detail information and complete it fully with you. This registration need only be completed once - no matter how many times we work together (unless your details change and in that instance we will change them and promptly resign the agreement).
In addition to your client details, each time we work together we will draw up a Legal Services Agreement - outlining what work you have engaged us to complete and the costs associated with it. This will be done in person when we meet but a draft agreement is here for you to review. Your review of this document, and in particular our Terms of Engagement, prior to us meeting will improve the efficiency of our time together.
Therefore, prior to us meeting we would appreciate you;
- First reading and reviewing the general terms & conditions which covers one-off consultations or situations where no Legal Services Agreement is signed Terms & Conditions
- Then reading and reviewing the example Legal Services Agreement and Terms of Engagement ( To be completed when you specifically instruct us to take steps to represent you on any matter).
- * Finally registering as a new client of Keil & Associates

The information in the Registration will only be used for the purposes of preparing your Legal Services Agreement in the event that you decide to instruct us to act and for our database records.
